The Best Green Smoothie (or Smoothie Bowl!)

Don’t let the color fool you- this tropical green smoothie is oh-so delicious! Healthy fats from avocado lend a boost of heart health, while antioxidant rich fruits and veggies balance out the flavor. You can even freeze it into popsicle molds!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup pineapple
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1/2 of an avocado
  • handful of kale or spinach
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk (for a smoothie bowl, use half as much milk to make it sweeter
  • optional toppings: dark chocolate chips, unsweetened coconut shreds, sliced fruit

Note: use frozen fruit for an “icier” smoothie.

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients except toppings in a high quality blender (such as a Ninja) until well combined and smooth. Enjoy! For bowls, top with desired toppings.
